The U.S. Concealed Carry Association For Saving Lives Super PAC Applauds Pro-Second Amendment Victories in 2022 Midterm Elections

U.S. Concealed Carry Association for Saving Lives Encourages New Congress to Pass Legislation Supporting Americans’ Right to Self-Defense

The U.S. Concealed Carry Association For Saving Lives Super PAC (USCCA-FSL) applauded key pro-Second Amendment victories in the 2022 midterm elections today and encouraged immediate action in the next Congress to uphold Americans’ fundamental right to self-defense, such as passing national concealed carry reciprocity. Responsible American gun owners expect action on Second Amendment issues.

“In a number of critical races for Congress, voters made clear their support for candidates who will protect their fundamental right to self defense while rejecting an anti-gun agenda that fails to keep communities safe,” said Mike Lowney, executive director and chairman of the board, USCCA-FSL.  “Thanks to important investments by the USCCA-FSL and other groups in key congressional races, we were able to successfully engage voters ahead of the election who want their right to self-defense upheld in Congress.  Our message reflects the reality of millions of gun owners across the country who have chosen to be their family’s first line of defense and we look forward to the new Congress standing up for their right to protect their families.”

In the final weeks of the election, the USCCA-FSL launched a high six-figure paid digital campaign both nationally, as well as in several key races for House and Senate, that encouraged responsible gun owners to make their voices heard at the ballot box in November. Listening to donors and every day American gun owners, USCCA-FSL sought to tell the truth about gun ownership and what’s at stake in these elections.  The ad ran nationally as well as to targeted voters on streaming channels, including YouTube and Facebook, in a number of key races including North Carolina Senate (Ted Budd), CA-3 (Kevin Kiley), AZ-02 (Eli Crane), FL-13 (Anna Paulina Luna) and TX-38 (Wesley Hunt).  Budd, Luna and Hunt were all victorious in their races, while Kiley and Crane currently lead in votes counted and are expected to win.

USCCA-FSL’s first ad featured a mother of four and domestic abuse survivor, Jennifer M., who detailed her experience with firearms first as a victim and now as a firearm owner.  The reality that Jennifer endures as a survivor and a responsible gun owner illustrates the critical need for lawmakers to listen to the record numbers of Americans who have chosen to be their family’s first line of defense.

“On behalf of hundreds of thousands of Americans around the country as well as the U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), which is one of the country’s largest and fastest growing organizations in the country dedicated to supporting responsibly armed Americans, the USCCA-FSL congratulates responsible gun owners nationwide,” stated Lowney.  “It’s our hope that the new majority in Congress will focus its sights on passing legislation like the National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act to help law-abiding Americans protect themselves and their loved ones at all times.”

The USCCA-FSL was launched last year to advance the right of responsible Americans to protect their families.  In its first year of existence, USCCA-FSL has helped deliver over 517,000 letters to Members of Congress on key policy issues, launched a new website to keep gun owners informed on key policy issues and engaged in key Midterm races this Fall for the U.S. Senate and House.
