Jennifer’s Story
“I was 7 months pregnant when my ex threw me down the stairs. He threatened to kill me and my young children…he almost did. I’m a domestic abuse survivor and I’ve experienced what it’s like to be violently assaulted with a gun.”
“My ex is in prison now, but he continues to threaten the lives of me and my children to this day. He’s going to get out in a couple of years, and the thought of it terrifies me. That is why I’m a trained gun owner now. I need the ability to protect my life, and the lives of my children, to prevent this from ever happening again.”
“The Second Amendment is about my God-given right to self-defense. I grew up around firearms, my father is a hunter and my brother is in the military. But after nearly dying at the hands of my ex-husband, I have a newfound perspective on what the 2nd Amendment really represents.”
“That’s why it’s so important we have political leaders who will champion and defend my constitutional right to own a firearm. Elections have consequences…my right to defend my children, and my own life…is what’s at stake. Gun owners need to speak up and get involved. Our stories matter and our voices matter. I refuse to sit on the sidelines.”
